Herstory, which started out as a luxury design jewelry brand, was founded in 2013. It is inspired by the American Feminist Perspective “Herstory” philosophy, which first emerged in the 1960s and emphasizes the role of women in life.
The word “Her Story” emerged because some people with feminist preferences thought that the word “history” was a combination of the words “his (man's)” and “story”, meaning “history” belongs to men.
